Dominium jewellery is made to be worn and cared for over time. This page explains our commercial aftercare approach. It does not limit any statutory rights available under applicable law.

Manufacturing issues

If you believe your piece has a manufacturing defect, contact us with your order details and photographs where helpful. We may ask to inspect the item before confirming the appropriate remedy. Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, correction, replacement, refund or another remedy required by law.

What is not normally a manufacturing defect

Normal wear and accidental damage are different from a manufacturing defect. Examples can include surface scratches from wear, impact damage, bent or broken chains caused by pulling, damage from chemicals or cosmetics, loss following a significant impact, wear to clasps or prongs over time, or damage arising from improper storage or handling.

Gemstones and natural characteristics

Natural gemstones can contain inclusions and variations in colour, texture and tone. Characteristics that are inherent to the stone and consistent with what was sold are not manufacturing defects. If you are unsure whether a change is natural wear or a defect, contact us before taking the piece to another jeweller.

Third-party repairs and alterations

Repairs, resizing, setting work or alterations carried out by another jeweller can affect our ability to assess or warrant the altered part of a piece. This does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Commercial warranty information

If a specific Dominium commercial warranty period or additional warranty benefit applies to your order, it will be stated on the relevant product page, quotation, invoice or accompanying documentation. Statutory rights apply independently of any commercial warranty.

Repairs, resizing and restoration

We may offer inspection, polishing, stone tightening, resizing, repair or restoration depending on the construction and condition of the piece. Where work is chargeable, we will provide or confirm the price before proceeding. Some designs have technical limits on resizing or restoration.

Jewellery care

Store jewellery separately where possible, avoid unnecessary impact, and remove pieces before activities likely to expose them to heavy force or harsh chemicals. Perfume, cosmetics, chlorine and household cleaning products can affect metals, finishes and some gemstones. If you are unsure how to clean a particular stone or finish, ask us first.

Sending jewellery to us

Contact us before sending any piece. We will provide the correct return address and secure shipping instructions. Do not send high-value jewellery to a business address without confirming arrangements with us first.
