In the UAE, the calendar is wonderfully full. Within a few months, many of us celebrate Diwali, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Ramadan and Eid, Mother's Day and a season of weddings, often within the same circle of friends. Here is our guide to giving fine jewelry for each, and how to plan so it arrives on time.

Plan Ahead
Because our pieces are made to order and engraved by hand, timing matters. Made-to-order pieces typically take around two to three weeks, and detailed bespoke work four to six weeks, with shipping on top. If you have a date in mind, tell us before you order and we will confirm whether we can meet it.
Diwali: 8 November 2026
Diwali, the festival of lights, falls on Sunday 8 November this year, with celebrations through the days around it. In many families, buying gold during the festival, especially on Dhanteras, its first day, is considered auspicious, which makes fine jewelry a natural gift. If you are ordering for Diwali this year, speak to us as soon as possible.
Give: a pair of Bianca Round Diamond Studs, or a Toi et Moi ring for someone you love.
Christmas: 25 December
For a wife, mother or sister, a piece she will wear every day is the gift that is remembered: a tennis bracelet, a pair of diamond studs or a locket holding a family photograph. For him, a signet ring engraved with his initials is a gift he will wear for decades.
Give: the Malcesine Tennis Bracelet, the Memoire Locket or a Monogram Signet Ring.
Valentine's Day: 14 February
The most romantic gift is often the most personal. A locket with two photographs inside, or a ring with a private inscription only the two of you know, will mean more than anything bought off the shelf.
Give: the locket collection or a Toi et Moi ring.
Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr
Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, with Eid Al Fitr expected around 9 to 10 March, subject to the sighting of the moon. Eid is a time of family, generosity and new beginnings, and many families mark it with gifts for the people they love. Because the exact date is confirmed only at the end of Ramadan, it is wise to order well before the holy month begins.
Give: diamond studs, a tennis bracelet, or a carnelian signet, a stone with deep roots in this part of the world.
Mother's Day: 21 March
Across the Arab world, Mother's Day is celebrated on 21 March. Few gifts suit it better than a locket holding her children's photographs or names.
Give: the Memoire Locket or the Classic Oval Locket.

Weddings and Engagements
The cooler months are wedding season in the UAE, and gold has a special place in many wedding traditions across the Gulf and South Asia. For the couple, a toi et moi ring or a pair of matching signets makes a gift that becomes part of their story. For the bride, diamond studs or a tennis bracelet are pieces she will wear long after the day itself.
For Every Other Day
Birthdays, graduations, a new baby, a promotion, a business founded, an anniversary: some of the most meaningful gifts mark milestones that appear on no calendar. A signet ring for a twenty-first birthday or a graduation, or a locket for a new mother, will be treasured for a lifetime.
A Few Gifting Tips
Find a ring size in secret. Borrow a ring they already wear on the same finger, or ask us: we can help with sizing discreetly.
Make it personal. Personalisation is designed into every Dominium piece and priced with it, so a date, a name or a few words adds meaning without adding cost.
Plan the surprise. If the gift is a surprise, we can hold delivery for your date.
